Birthday pressie for the wife

Hi there
Hope you had a good weekend. It was my wife's birthday yesterday and I finally managed to get this pressie finished in time for it! (It was supposed to be a christmas present but time ran out!)

It started out as a wooden case of pencils which have long since gone but I kept the box as it was too nice to toss.

I stamped and coloured with Craft Individuals stamps mainly and distress inks, covered the surface with crackle glaze (Rock candy)
Added some of my flowers made previously as well as some old jewellery
Inside looks like this

Vintage lace, bird cage die cut (Alterations) A rub on sentiment and a note pad I made to match. The pen was made by her talented brother in law who makes amazing pens. The wood of this particular pen was a piece collected at the Appalachicola Falls where they went tubing when she was over on holiday so very special to her. The idea of this box was a place for my wife to write down her favourite and special promise verses from scripture and as she got very emotional about it when she opened it, I should have put tissues in it too! Still it was a successful gift so I am glad (I done good this year!)

Be blessed in your art today
