Sometimes its the little questions that make the most work.......

Good morning peeps,
I trust that this finds you well. In reference to the title of this post; has someone ever asked you for something that on the surface is quite simple but the execution or aftermath of it is slightly more complicated?
My wife asked me one of those on Thursday evening. "You know those four units that we had in the house that we put in your studio? Can I have two of them back please, I REALLY need them for my files?" A simple request that generated about 48 hours of work for me LOL It took about 30 minutes to remove the contents from the top and insides of said units and relocate them to the house. Resulting in a happy wife and a mountain of stuff needing a new home in my studio.......
Well it took around 48 hours as I said but I can now see my little bit of carpet and my desk too. So I thought I'd pop the pics up here. ( I don't know about you but I do find other peoples creative spaces fascinating so perhaps you may find this peek at mine moderately interesting too)

Standing at the door of my "Man Cave" looking in. there is just stuff everywhere and I love it. I am not one of those people who create in a neat space. I find being surrounded, almost cocooned by the tools of my art very inspiring. (Though I do wish for more space and a new bigger studio is on my wish list I also know that I will fill it too)
Lots of drawers and nooks and crannies . Each space has something tucked into it.
Taking the two units out meant I stacked my 12 x 12 trays from the floor to the ceiling with the rest on top of the unit and a trip to the store to get some plastic containers to stack on top of the chest of drawers (Which houses lots of boxes and things waiting to be altered)
The back wall has most of the paints and mediums I use regularly easily to hand and other paints, inks etc are stored in plastic containers so I just take the container down and everything that I need is inside. Like melt pot, specific brand paints and inks like Dylusions, PaperArtsy etc.
I know to a lot of folks this probably just looks messy but it works for me. Creativity in Chaos......
Still, it was nice to have my table back and have a play with some of my new goodies, like these Tim Holtz Mixed Media Thinlits dies which are so cool. I picked them up from The Artistic Stamper the other day. And the new Distress colours which I hadn't really had a chance to try yet.

Now, I'm off back to play/work on my tidied up Craft Cave so I'll see you later......

Yes, it's always good to see other peoples creative space and to learn how they organise their things. It looks like you have a fun time in there, hope you are finding your way through the shift. I can never find things once I've moved it!

I am in two minds about those dies...I like what I see so far on your tags! Great work space you have there. I will show mine off soon.

Hi Neil, youve got a very interesting work space, so much stuff, I also would love a closer look as it's always interesting to see other peoples crafty spaces and stash.
My poor husband lost his drill case and his spice tins as I thought I could find a better use for them!
