Wandering in the woods

Wandering in the woods this misty dawn; following the siren call that echoed and pulled at me I thought I saw her briefly through the trees before the mists swirled densely back again. I called her name; this lady of the woods who had captured my heart. The tinkle of her laughter tinkled all around, flittering though the breeze like a thousand butterflies. I wandered up hill and over dale; chasing my dreams until, exhausted, I slumbered by the stream.
When I woke from my rest; pressed into my palm this journal I did find; verdant green and natural tone. A thing of earth and sky. A rare and beautiful gift bestowed upon the artist fair.....
Do you want the boring details too? I had a couple of pieces of bark that were just crying out to be used so that was my starting point. I added some bronze UTEE to the side to add a bit of a contrast to the matte texture of the bark. The central disc sits on wire and has been coloured in tones of greens, coppers and golds. The lace ties are coloured with Dylusions.
The spine is binding cloth over which lace has been used. The Charms are coloured with Metallic lustres.

Bit of the details. I love the varying textures. The roughness of the bark, the smoothness of the UTEE. The softness of the lace and the hardness of the wire.
Inside the pages are uneven and consist of old pages; discards from a previous project. All bound and randomly coloured with Dylusions.

I am looking forward to working in this little gem. Though at almost ATC size I may find it a challange at times. Hope you like it too.
Take care

Did you write the opening words? If you did you have a real gift with words...I was there with you, running after the noise, running through the mist. Anyway, fabulous book. I love the inside pages. Fab! Fab! Fab! I can't wait for March!
