WOYWW 233 -

Goodly morning peeps; I'll be honest; you may be better looking at my workplace this week with eyes tightly closed.....Yep, the Crafty Man Cave is rather a mess.
You know what the worst thing  is though? I can't actually show you what made the mess in the first place as it is part of one of my DT projects......
Still, here we go then, remember, eyes shut, this is my desk.....

I TOLD you to keep your eyes closed......too late now though, scarred for life LOL. So plenty of mess, stuff I need to find homes for too, like the box underneath the canvas, the wooden book box to the top and the new tags to the right of it. Man I need a bigger shed!
Well, at least there's this canvas which is pretty cool; I'll be teaching this at The Craft Barn Sunday 26th January if you are interested in joining me. Lots of lovely ink and paint effects, textures and more.
Metal buttons, some gorgeous ones; and Weathered Wood Distress Paint. Clues to what I've been up to perhaps.....
So much going on I've even lost my seat to stash. It's not fair really. It's enough to drive a man to drink; which of course leads me to my cork drawer.
Yes, I was given all these corks; and no, they were not still encased in liquid filled glass at the time. Though I did have a flashback when I saw the KWV cork. One of the premier vineyards in SA. They do Brandy too and one year my father was given a couple of cases of the stuff......very very nice.
So, there's my little world. For more workplaces of the world and to share yours, pop on over to Julia for the details HERE.
I managed to get around to about 70 of you last week. Can't promise to do as many this week but I'll try my best.
Hope you all have a blessed and creative fun-filled fantabulastic week..........

Good to see a busy crafter. I'm intrigued as to what ideas you might have for those corks. Mind you I'd freak out if my space became too messy lol. I'd want to spend a day organising it all. Prob why I'm not creating as much lol. Pxx

I always love looking at your "mess" as you have such interesting things. There's no point having a bigger room, you'd just fill that too :) Love that canvas.
Have a great week,

Don't you think that no matter how big our craft spaces, we'll always need bigger. We're constantly rearranging to attempt to fit it all in to our small craft space. Thanks for visiting the bears already today.

Hey a mess like that means you are actually creating! Ok, so I am using that excuse this week myself, but how can we make beautiful things if we keep all our supplies and tools hidden away? I love your work, I ll be back to see and read more. I m a new fan. Happy WOYWW. Ann #71

Wow, you have a lot of great photos, I feel right at home. Amazing how much stuff we can drag out and still keep searching for one more thing. Must have been cork day! I added another post on corks, being a dreamer, and lists. Have a fun week, love all your fun little stash photos.

If you get a bigger shed, you'll just fill it! Think to when I first met you on WOYWW and your crafty place was a nook in the house...you take my point huh?!!

WOW that is a lot going on but a feast for the eyes the canvas is amazing love the colours and all the texture and detail i think your right you might need a bigger man cave but would that just mean a bigger mess ?...creativity causes clutter and a bit of chaos anyway so it wouldn't be the same tidy!.thanks for visiting earlier and your kind comment hope you have a good week andrea #27

I love your Man Cave! When you said eyes shut.........I even magnified my window, to make sure I did not miss anything! LOL...yeah right, like we would shut our eyes! Love all the colors, texture you do to all your projects. A bigger cave, would just mean, more stuff, and more mess! LOL

I hardly know what to say, I was honored you visited me, I have been a long time admire of your work and too intimated to comment.. Your man cave looks fantastic all full of the most wonderful things, being creative, tends to create a mes, but that's okay, the next time I'm in England I will defiantly go to the craft barn and take one of your course, thanks again for stopping by happy day..

Thanks for your visits, Neil! I'm so glad I managed to get to your desk this week because I do love your work! OK, I don't think I've ever seen mess quite like yours, but that's a work of art in itself! Your canvas looks terrific! I do so wish I could do that CB class. It's a bit of a hike from where I live, but, with planning, maybe one day I could catch a CB class. I would love to create a canvas as textured and original as this! Julie Ann xx #29

Wow! So much craftiness going on at your man cave. :-) Thanks for stopping by my girl cave earlier. I've got a cork collection, too. But mine are from glass bottles of the good stuff that I did drink. ;-)

Hi Neil, I never ever want to close my eyes when I visit your treasure trove (I mean shed), I love it!
I really would love to visit the Craft Barn in January, I doubt it will happen, even if I did manage it there will probably be a clash with our Jan holiday, which we take to coincide with the Exeter show (you know - one of the places where I buy more stash that I don't have room for or need)!

Hi Neil,

I still think I have you beat on the state of our workdesks! The canvas project looks great -- I bet you lots of fun teaching and how I'd love to be able to come take a class!

I'm debating about distressing the dresser now. We'll see what happens.

Thank you for visiting me already. I'm slowly making it around.

Happy belated WOYWW
