PaperArtsy day

Good afternoon everyone
I hope you are well and that you had a great and creative weekend. I had a FANTASTIC day yesterday but more on that in a moment.
Just wanted to share a couple of other things too so this could be a long post.......
Firstly, yesterday was the start of a new letter for The Craft Barn's Alpha challenge (Details HERE) I was a bit late with mine but here it is

Another thing happening this week is that Tando Creative is having a book week on their blog featuring the Book Cover kits I designed. I'm kicking off the week with a loose leaf Journal so I'd love it if you popped on over to say hi. I'm really looking forward to seeing what everyone does this week! Here's the link for today
http://tando-creative.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/book-cover-week.html and this is the back of my book!

Now, back to yesterday; PaperArtsy held a Retailer/Tutor training day yesterday which I was fortunate to be able to attend along with about 50 other lovely folks.  I know many of you know and love the products that they bring to the market and for me it was really exciting to be able to spend the day really getting to grips with the paints and pastes; learning all about the way they work and work together. It was also really good to get to know a bit of the company history too.
We were kept really busy all day as you can imagine, there was a lot to get through, but it was all good fun.

Here's Helen Chiltern and Nina (From Crafting Time in Shepreth) hard at work.
As you can see, the venue was lovely and spacious too, though it was so warm the air-conditioning struggled. On the plus side, we didn't have to wait too long for stuff to dry!
We tried to keep it tidy, honest........ but I am sure you are more interested in what we got up to? This lot....
 Some closer shots

So by the end of the day, with a head full of techniques, lots of ideas and inspiration, it was time to head on home; but not before being given a last gift of stamps and products we'd been working with! Spoilt rotten but really excited and looking forward to playing a lot more with them. And of course, sharing the knowledge with you lovely folk too.  Yep, time to disappear to the studio methinks........ see you later.....

It was a good day, and it was interesting to see how different all our project boards looked using the same products. x
