Textured little canvas

Good afternoon; me again!
Thought I'd nip back to share this little canvas with you. It's been a while since I have worked with texture paste and I've decided I need to do more!
Anyway this is what I've done; a 5 x 7 canvas. I began by adding a black area in paint in the top section of the canvas. Then, taking some lollipop sticks which I broke and glued down onto the canvas.  I used texture paste to hide the edges and create a rough plaster effect and left it to dry.

Once it was dry I used layers of brown acrylic paints, distress stains and bitumen to create layers of interesting colour. Once it dried, by using black Distress Marker, and water I created the floor line.

I added the sentiment using Tim's Chit Chat stickers and a charm. The Gorjuss Girl image was stamped onto card, cut out and coloured with Distress Markers.
I covered it with a couple of layers of clear UTEE and heated to set before adding to the canvas with double sided tape.

I'm entering this into the Simon Says Stamp and Show where the theme is Shabby/Vintage. Definitely shabby!
Have yourselves a good evening folks

very cool, Iam loving the textures, where you can just see the canvas and then the paste, great colours too.

Neil...your little canvas is really cool. I love the thick textures and how you've colored everything with the brown tones. Love the black peeking out from behind the "wall". Your Gorjuss Girl is so cute and I love how you have colored her. Love the Chitchat words, too. Very chic! Thanks so much for sharing your amazing art with us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy
