WOYWW #174

Hi there everyone
Wednesday already; time for us all to get the weekly fix of taking a gander at desks and workplaces of all sorts in the weekly desk hop that is What's on your Workdesk Wednesday hosted as ever, by Julia. Click here to get teleported to the launch pad and enjoy the ride.

If you popped on by last week you may remember that I was talking about making some changes to my workplace if the weather was ok. Well, the weather has not been brilliant I will admit but I decided to go for it anyway! It's taken me two days but phase one is almost done so join me on a tour if you like though please be warned that there are quite a few piccies!
So, the reason for the change around was to get these glass door units in. Which meant emptying a LOT of stuff to begin with. The paper rack is attached to the door.
So, moving in a bit you can see the new units (2m long, fab storage!!!!!!) I stacked the 12 x 12 racks above them (Phase two will involve hiding those....) which gave me more floor space.
The shelf and chest of drawers along the back wall full of goodies I use often. I also have fastened a rack system above the chest with hooks to hang all my eyelets etc. But of course you want to see my desk right? There's not much on it at the moment. But there is this unfinished canvas. Still more to do to it but it's shaping up nicely. And yes, those are the absolutely fabulous snowflake dies!
The canvas looks much more vibrant in reality as it has loads of shine that is not showing up.
 It'll get there though.

Sitting at this side I can enjoy the view outside and there's now a bit more space for someone else when needed as I can add another chair in the "passage area" between table and cupboards!
I know you want to see inside, so here are my stamps and masks all nicely packed.

Oh and did you notice my skulls..... bargain price so they're hanging around looking pretty!

Marathon post today, hope you enjoyed it though. Take care and have a fab week.

Yeah, not sure I'd use pretty to describe the skulls...but the rest of your space is sure some eye candy! The cabinets make a huge difference...but..don't let guests push their chairs back into the glass....been there, embarrasingly, done that!! Bet the time it's taken feels like a great investment now.

Sure you are not opening a shop Neil, there's enough stuff there and so well organised.
Love the 'posh' glass cabinets.

This is a shop not a workspace Neil!!! Do they ever get to see you indoors at all? (They wouldn't at mine if this was available for use:)) Love those drawers with the TH sentiments on them and the ongoing canvas looks exciting. Hugs, Buttons #57

It's like a massive sweetie shop Neil full of goodies, but I do think you should treat yourself to a chair with wheels on so you can whizz from one section to another then back to your desk.

The new cabinets are very pretty, not sure that description fits the skulls though! lol I love how your door to the craft cabin opens right out onto the yard, must be lovely on pretty days! I really like the paper rack on the back on the door, brilliant idea! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

Wow! Fantastic cupboards and I can quite see why you had to make space for them. For such a small space, your studio has a lot of storage and looks packed to the gunnels with craft goodies. Like how your canvas is shaping up - and it is so hard to capture a sheen on camera. Hope you have a good week and happy WOYWW, Elizabeth #49
