Just a little selection box

Good morning everyone
Sorry for not getting anything posted for a couple of days but I'll try to make up for it today.....
On Friday I taught an introduction class on Art Journalling over at The Craft Barn which was fun. Over the day we looked at ways of creating backgrounds for your pages and then started to look at working with collage images and how to ground them into the page. At the end of the day we had created a number of pages ready to go forwards and completed this page ready for journalling
Mine is still a single page as I have not had time to finish the other side but most of the ladies did a full double spread. We had a great time and I look forward to continuing the journey with them in the follow up classes.
Then I dashed off home to finish preparing for Saturdays Christmas card minifest at The Craft Barn too!
So I am actually in the unheard of position of actually having some Christmas cards completed by the 1st of October! Now that's scary; I've never been this organised before!
So here are some.
The main image here is a TH Christmas ATC stamp done on acetate and using distress stains, tissue, perfect pearls, mica fragments and 3d glaze.

This card is stamped with snowflakes, the flourish from another TH stamp set (The one with David) and the baubles are from Tando, stamped and then using the Tando snowflake mask and glitter paste from Viva I added some sparkle.

This one uses cosmic shimmer lava black embossing powder into the de-bossed areas of the alterations regal flourishes folder, coloured with stormy sky distress ink and the sentiment added. The sentiment is stamped in stormy sky and covered with 3d glaze with a little ultra-fine glitter added while wet.

Lastly this card has been done with various stamps from the TH Christmas range. I used a large word stamp for the background before adding the Tando mask and some glitter paste snowflakes. The reindeer were stamped onto card, overstamped with various images and then cut out and assembled with 3d foam. Some mica flakes were added to ground them and add a little texture!

I have some more just waiting to be finished up too but I'll share them another time.
I'll be back later with another post so until then, be blessed in your creative journey.

It was a fab class Neil, really helped take the mystery out of this art journalling lark, think I could get quite hooked.
Not boasting, but I've made 40 Christmas cards so far, one TH inspired card a week since Jan! A bit sad really! Lol!
