Anyway, over at the Play date Cafe challenge the colours are red and white and since I am busy with tags at the moment (Like most other Tim Holtz fans) I just carried on with tags as these colours will go with some of my gifts this year it made sense.
I made white tags and edged the bottom with a torn and punched piece of red card (Martha Stewart punch)
I cut 3 tattered floral flowers from white card and embossed them with various cuttlebug folders, secured with a white brad.
The Christmas sentiments are inkadinkadoo and I stamped them with Fired Brick distress ink. Over the tag I rubbed some rock candy distress stickles. Red and white embroidery thread for the bows which reminds me a bit of the candy canes that are eveywhere at this time of the year!
I love the subtl shadows you get with embossing on white. |
Detail showing the lovely shine distress stickles give you. |
