Random bits, class pics and an Andy Skinner Media Giveaway........

Good morning friends

I hope you are well. today's post is a bit of an assortment of random bits and pieces.......
Starting with this link to my post on The Craft Barn Blog yesterday where you will find a little tutorial on creating a "reverse resist" on acetate......here's a hint.

Then, yesterday I was at The Craft Barn for the first class of 2014 which was a Back to Basics look at Distress Stains, Paints and Markers. The ladies worked in books to create their own reference guides for the future of the fab things you can do with these products.

 The calm before the storm.......

 All  systems go! Numpty that I am, I forgot to take many photos, but here are a couple of pieces done using Distress Stains......

 Don't you just love the gears? I think they are brilliant (Black Soot and Crushed Olive Distress Stain, I think)

 It was a lovely group and we had a good day, though I think we reached brain overload stage by the end of the day!
Of course, I came home with a couple of "essential items", well it would be rude not to. I've had my eye on this stamp set for a while now and this mask of Andy's was hard to resist; again, I'd been after this for a while now.

Speaking of Andy; he's been a busy chap and is jet setting to launch the new DecoArt media range, it all looks absolutely gorgeous and I CANNOT wait to get my grubby little paws on it! To celebrate, he is offering one lucky person a goody bag so take a look at the video for more.
