First card of 2014

Good evening friends,
It's been a busy few days in the Crafty Man Cave. However I am beginning to get sorted and hopefully it won't be too long till I can scrape some me stuff for the blog. One of the things I want to try to do this year, is make more cards. I used to make regularly and for some reason I kinda stopped so today, I have a card for you.... my wife's birthday card actually so it won't be going into my stock pile!
I did enjoy making this, slowly and surely I am getting drawn into the world of digi images and for this card I worked with 2 not yet released images (Just to tease you) The base card is a dark green. I inked up a cogs digi background with Vintage Photo, Peeled Paint and Black Soot Distress ink. I glued one of my own design lazer cut floral cards onto this using DecoArt's Faux finishing Medium and spritzed the whole with water. I added some measuring tape washi tape and chit chat letters.

The main image was coloured with Distress Markers. I cut it out and mounted it using 3D foam tape. A little feather dangles from her watch and I added a few black gems to the hat and the dress to add a little detail.

The images I used are new images which will soon be coming from That Craft Place down in Eastbourne.
If you are ever down that way, do pop in and visit, it's a fab place.

Brilliant card Neil, good to see you making them again :) Love the detailed colouring on the digital image. It's inspiring me to go and dig out my pens again and have a go. :) Px
