Yes, some creative work!

Hi there friends.
I hope that this finds you well and that you are having a good weekend. I certainly am as for the first time in what seems like forever I've had some serious crafting time and I feel SO MUCH BETTER for it! I've got stuff for deadlines finished; class samples done and even some classes that haven't even been listed yet have samples. Am I on a roll or what.....
Obviously I can't show you everything quite yet but I can start with this perhaps

An "Aged Copper" handmade journal. I Love it and am itching to start journaling in it! This is created using my Squared Off Book Cover Kit.
Traditional sewn binding, end papers and lots of lovely techniques involved. Interested in doing it? I'll be teaching it at The Craft Barn in October (details HERE) and also at Crafting Time in Shepreth (Details TBC)

I've also come to the conclusion that I am unable to just do one project at a time. I know some folks work on something from start to finish..... not for me. I have started a few things over the last couple of days and I am definitely feeling excited about all of them, There's been the book you've just seen, also a new journal has been begun along with a box (Which is looking gorgeous by the way, ok, here's a sneak peek, but since then there's been lots more done!)
Then, I have to confess that I have succumbed to temptation.....
Yes, I've joined the smash book crowd! Though I am proud that I've resisted this long; after seeing Kate Crane using her one while we were at Ranger last year till last weekend is pretty impressive in my mind.
Haven't really done much inside, if I'm honest, not really sure where to start..... I have done the cover though
Decoart Americana in Deep Purple, Natural Texture Crackle and Metallic Lustre make it look brilliant.
So, all in all, a pretty good day. I've made a mess and my head is still awash with ideas so I'm going back in there, something must be dry enough to work on more; or perhaps I'll begin something else........

Wow what a lot of creativity going on here :) I'm a one-project-at-a-time crafter and it's good to see you know that your flow is very different. Plus I'm guessing it's useful to work on several projects at a time when you need to wait for paints, glues and inks to dry. Love how you've decorated your Smash Journal and i'm sure you'll fill it up soon. Pxx

Your creativity is just oozing right now. Keep up the good work! I have to admit to buying a smash book myself but haven't started it yet, it was meant to be a project done over the summer holidays with my daughter but time has flown by too quickly, maybe best for those long winter evenings.
Your journal pages are fab as always and I love your box, can't wait to see how that turns out.

I just don't understand why all the already talented people in England get to have these fantastic workshops. I am a hillbilly, live back in the mountains of North Carolina and there are no workshops around here!! I wish you could make the book workshop an on-line class too. I would be there with bells on!! Love your stuff Neil!!
