Journal pages and Vintage Cute at The Craft Barn

Good morning friends
Well, it has been a busy time recently. Funny how things all seem to happen at once sometimes and finding time to focus is not easy. Last week was last minute sorting and shopping for elder daughter's return to Uni.
Then after work Saturday was the drive up to Liverpool which took almost 7 hours instead of the usual 5. Still we made it and had a bit of a catch up and sleep before loading the rest of the Uni stuff that had been stored there over the summer and heading off to Preston (Via Sainsburys) to unload and settle. New flat, but nice and the friends were there so I didn't stay long before leaving her to it. I was surplus to requirements this time which was very different to last year LOL.

I think she was glad to be back and excited about the new year which I think is great. Had a nightmare drive home though, taking around 3 hours to crawl along the M6 when it would normally take 1.... Got home in the end but yesterday I felt so shattered it was a joke so I was next to useless.
Today, however, is a new day so lets get going shall we?

I managed to get a couple of journal pages finished. Pretty quick ones. The first one has a rough painted and textured background and I used a white pen to doodle and write.

Then this one had been on the go for a while, The background has gesso "carving" and various bits that have been inked and masked to create layers. The sentiment is from Dyan Reavely. The leaves and acorn are from Tim Holtz and have been stamped onto white card, cut out and adhered to the page. I coloured them using Tim's Distress Markers.

This last one is still in progress. A painted background, stamping and doodling. Got as far as sticking the spider down before running out of ideas......

Then, lastly for today, over at The Craft Barn Blog HERE I have a Vintage Cute project on there today; I'd love you to pop on over and take a look!

Righteo, hope you have a great day; thank you for popping by. I appreciate all of your visits and comments so thank you for all your support.
