Book cover kit sample.

Good morning folks
Hope you are well today, if you popped round the blog yesterday you will have seen the 3 new sample albums made with my kits. I promised more details so here we go with Burst! These albums were made by my brilliantly talented wife, Susan, who told me that she wanted a set of covers to do in her own way!
She decided that she would create loose leaf folders with rings instead of making a book so that she could add pages as needed.
So, this is the Burst kit. It has a lovely soft feel to it, lots of lovely soft pastel shades with pinks and blues layered over with Distress ink in Pumice stone.

The focal point is this beautiful Sweet Pea image stamped onto the painted circle, a touch of colour with Distress Marker and liquid Pearl accents and some Rub n Buff. When dry, two layers of clear UTEE were added.

A detail of the cover; the stamp is from IndigoBlu, stamped in coffee archival. Some detailing with Liquid Pearls adds a nice touch.

Then, instead of gluing the overs down, they were left loose. I like the way you can then see all the soft shades of colour on the main cover too.

Isn't it pretty? Inside has been covered with patterned paper before punching the holes for the rings.

Ok, since you asked nicely, here is another one.... Squared off kit given a lovely vintage feel. The base and top squares are painted with a soft lilac before the addition of Distress ink and Rub n Buff. Vintage lace fills the centre panel. The frame has been given a crackle treatment which adds a lovely texture.  The stamping is IndigoBlu. There is Liquid Pearl detailing. The little metal heats and centre book plate have been distressed with white Rub n Buff (The bookplate from the kit met with a slight "accident" and couldn't be used, hence the change!) The little word was added and Crackle accents added to finish!

So, there you have two more ideas using my cover kits! And what was I doing while all this creativity was going on? Enjoying my Craft Stamper and getting all excited seeing some of my stamps featured in the First Impressions page! I don't ever want to lose that excitement!
Hope you all have a lovely creative day!
