Little canvas

Hi there folks.
Well; I'm still sorting things out so I'll post more about the extravaganza weekend later this week. I'll just say that is was great fun! But today, I realised that as I had invited a friend over to do some crafting I had to unpack and sort out all my stuff so that we could work..... hmmm, not thinking properly Robin! Still I managed it and Mark arrived. We had not planned anything specific but decided to do a canvas. We tried a couple of different things along the way and raided each other's stamps so we could have a bit of a change. This is what I ended up doing.
The background was done with fired brick and stormy sky distress stain, some tissue tape on the side and a Tando mask too. The image on the left was stamped directly onto the canvas and the one on the right onto an old book page; cut out a glued down. I used distress markers to colour in. Some glossy accents so add shine to the wings too. I doodled a bench for the girl to sit on. The sentiment is printed onto sticky sheet and cut out and added to the canvas.
I christened my melt pot today too and made the two small hearts which I like a lot! I was pleased with the end piece. So much so that I am going to do it again in my journal as I didn't keep the canvas!
I had a great day; there aren't too many guys around that appreciate the creative processes and enjoy art so being able to spend a day creating art with a fellow crafter was a real pleasure.

Also today was my turn to kick start the week over at The Craft Barn ; this is what I am sharing.....
All the details can be found HERE and here are the  product links for those who are interested

Hope you have a great evening and I'll catch up soon!

Those are two of my favorite girl stamps. Love what you've done with them, and the pleasure of crafting with a friend can't be beat!
