Katzelkraft card

Hi there folks.
Miserable and wet here as for a lot of people so a good reason to stay put in my craft shed and create!
I'm sharing a card over at the Katzelkraft blog today and thought I'd share it here too.
This is KTZ55. The first set of their stamps that I fell in love with!  To make this card I began by taking ALL the words from the plate and arranged them onto an acrylic block into a rough rectangle. Using walnut stain distress ink I filled the card blank with them. I blended mustard seed ink over everything before adding walnut stain over it. The yellow gives a beautiful rich tone to the brown. I then used a cogs mask to remove some of the colour with a damp cloth before adding more walnut stain with the mask to give some depth.
The embossed card on the right is gold mirri card embossed with regal flourish. Aged with raw umber paint. I swiped a black ink pad over the surface and then lastly covered the whole piece with clear embossing powder and heated. The clock is cut from painted card.
The tile was made using a thick piece of white chipboard onto which I stamped the main image and heat set. I blended the same colours distress ink over everything and used a detailer waterbrush to remove some of the colour on the details. I added a layer of clear UTEE. Then on top of that I sprinkled some aged taupe frantage powder in areas and then covered the rest with clear UTEE. Once that was heated I added a last layer of clear to finish. The end result is a lovely glazed tile effect. Everything then assembled as seen.
The pictures don't do the colours justice really but hopefully you'll get the idea!
If you haven't seen Katzelkraft yet, do take a look at their shop HERE, and the blog HERE. They have some really great plates!
Have fun today whatever you are up to.

Beautiful background and love what you've done to the main image. Thanks for giving a clear explanation to show how you achieved the end product - it's like having a five minute lesson!
