WOYWW #143

Good morning
Well, I don't want to share my desk this week but in the interests of providing a fair and unbiased and non sanitised overview of my creative life I guess I had better........
Just one big happy mess really! A lovely pile of inks, paints, pre-embossed tags, mountboard cut tags and in amongst it all some little gems; like these
Faux leather, partially aged copper and really really oxidised copper - all paint effects..... then , there's my current favourite, rusty metal.  I did the tag, the washer I picked up on the beach the other day.
Speaking of picking up things, look what I found in Brighton, proper old printers block letters, I managed to get this one word spelled out so just HAD to have it!
Then there's the beginnings of a journal page from some of the left over paints from some of the tags and a Tando mask.
So there you have my world this morning, If you want to see more creative places head on over to Julia's place to join in the party.
Have a great Wednesday everyone

Glad you showed a messy desk- although it's not THAT messy- really.

Ahhhh you're taking Andy's class too :) You've done brilliantly with it. I haven't even started yet. Hopefully, if the weekend's clear, I can devote some time to it. Certainly seeing your tags has spurred me. Especially like how your faux leather has come out. Px

great looking desk this week. I love the textures in the oxidized tags. Have you heard of Verday and VerDay Paint? I have ordered some from Ten Second Studio as it sounded awesome and would actually oxidize on any surface. Love the ART print block and your journal pages are great too! Thanks for sharing. Have a great week. Vickie#47

Those tags are just amazing Neil! I LoVe your ART printers blocks ... I used to have several of them years and years ago but (now hangs head in shame) threw them out! That was before I was into crafting and they had just become dust-collecting items on a shelf ... how I regret that now!
You have pride of place on my blog this week by the way ... even got your own post-title! There's fame for you!!!! Love Debbie #89 xXx

Oooh Neil, what a pleasure it always is to visit your gorgeous busy desk!! I adore that rust... really deliciously grungey!! And as for your beautiful Art journal - that's something I am thinking of starting soon. So creative and fun!

Thanks for visiting my blog. I am sure you don't need to feel guilty not using your Robo if you are so busy with other creative things! Sheba and I are starting to Waltz now and it's great fun. I'm hoping my new flame-proof mat lives up to its promise and I have no more warped craft mats in future. I think the manufacturers are conspiring not to tell us how un heat-proof they are so we keep buying them...

Happy WOYWW,

The tags look wonderful! Love all of the different textures that you have created. May I inquire as to what type of storage is on the right hand side of your desk? Drawers, perhaps? Dani43

Now that I've started watching "Hoarders" I've redefined what constitutes a real mess. As long as no flat cats (squished under the mess) then your mess probably isn't too bad! And your mess is as you said-nice and happy. I love all your textured bits, lots of potential there. Great find with the printer's letters!

karen said...

I am so glad that you shared your desk or we would have missed all the wonderful creativeness going on there!
You have really mastered all those paint effects! You can't even tell the difference from the actual rusty washer found on the beach and the paint on your card! Perfect!
Thanks for visiting earlier!

Oops... hit send too soon, your printer's block letters look lovely, I have a complete set in their wooden case back home in Scotland which I keep meaning to do for Dh's study... would be easier if I was on the same continent as it!!
