Hi there
It's a two for one this week. Over at Studio L3 the Compendium challenge is Inking and stamping masks on page 59 of Tim's book (Can't say more than that so you'll have to check it out yourselves) and at Simon Says Stamp and Show this week it is a Tag.
So this is being entered into both challenges
I used the technique to create the base tag and kept it simple and masculine with the addition of some rusty washers and bolts (picked up from the street) and an Idea-ology sprocket. I used Tim's elephant stamp and bingo atc stamp for the background. Distress inks used were, broken china, weathered wood, forest moss, aged mahogany and walnut stain.

I tried to create some depth on the elephants by lightly colouring in the second one so it looks as if it is behind....

Great tag Neil -just came from a friend's daughters blog who is experiencing elephants in the wild in Africa!!! She is very artistic & i may need to get her this stamp when she returns...The tag is wonderful & I am sure the elephants enjoy the bit of greenery!!!

Oh, I love those elephants! Neil, your masking is just brilliant, and the shading you added gives it so much depth. The metal pieces are perfect for this awesome work of art. It's an absolute masterpiece!
