The bliss of a day off

Good evening friends.
Today was a lovely crafting focus day which, after a couple of weeks of nothing much was a real treat. It started off this morning with a walk up to the local college where the Sincerely Yours Papercraft fair was being held. Not having been to one of their shows before I was unsure of what to expect but was pleasantly surprised at the variety.

I was VERY happy to see Tando Creative there, as well as The MDF man too. It was lovely to bump into people that I haven't see for a while and catch up.

Of course, a little indulgence was inevitable, but the stencils were only 3 pound; the MDF tags were less than 3 pound for the lot so can't go wrong. The bargain of the day had to be the 12 x 12 double sided card, gorgeous design and 25 sheets for a pound. It is perfect for creating pages in the books I make so I was chuffed with that
Just love the Tando pieces; the Scotties were irresistible and the baubles are destined for the tree if I can get them finished before then.
Then, though nothing got finished, I spent the rest of the time today in the studio just working on a few bits.
Like this box I am busy altering, not the best of photos but there are about 5 different colours and Perfect Pearl sprays on it at this stage,
Now it looks a bit more matte. It will be interesting to so where this ends up taking me by the time it is finished. Fun  though.
Then, the inner pages for a book have been sewn, pressed, glued and taped. I use a flower press to keep the pages nice and compressed. It works a treat.

So, all in all, it was a good day. Now I can face the new working week.........

Good to see you at the show Neil and I'm kicking myself for not buying the pad of paper you chose for £1. I bought others but didn't pick that one up :(
Loving the box and look forward to see what you do to it next.
