WOYWW 280 - The return of the prodigal....

Good morning fellow WOYWWers, it has been a while since I've popped on here!
I trust that you are all well.
Why have I been absent so long, well with one thing and another there was either nothing happening on my desk, or it was full of DT work that I couldn't share......
This morning however, I managed to clear my desk and have a bit of a potter.....so here it is as it currently stands.

It's still a mess (nothing new there then) but at least there are a few little bits on the go.
Like these chipboard butterflies. I'm just colouring them with Distress inks. They're a bit of a bargain at Poundland, works out at 20p a butterfly. Can't say no to that can you.
Sitting at he back are a little pile of tags. One of the projects I am working on left me with a pile of small pieces of tissue paper. I was just about to toss them but last minute decided to just glue them onto tags to make backgrounds. Much better than binning them. The Key is from That Craft Place in Eastbourne.
These flowers are the same as the butterflies, Once they have been coloured they look pretty cool. The jute roll came from Poundland too. I love the colour.
So there you have it, my long lost desk. For more desks, hop on over to the weekly international desk hop, hosted by Julia at Stamping Ground HERE
Hope you all have a lovely week.

Those chipboard butterflies look great. I'd thought they were wood veneer because the detail is so sharp. How nice that they were also a bargain. Happy WOYWW! ~ Laura #63

I have only recently been in pundland and was surprised at the craft stuff they stock. I got some shiffon fabric pieces and can't wait to do something with them.
Have a great week and happy crafting, Angela x 41

Hi Neil - lovely to see you back - I've missed you! I love what's on your desk. Those Poundland things are soooo cool, and such a bargain, too! And much nicer once they've been grungified in true Neil style lol!

Thanks for your visit and your nice comment. I am trying to be better about visiting people whose blogs I follow and I've got a lot of catching up to do. I'm glad you like my felt flowers. I finished them yesterday afternoon, and with the addition of some shiny beads in the centre, and sewing them together and attaching to a hair clip, I am well pleased. I shall be blogging about that soon when I do the one about last night's class (needle felting - what fun that is!!).

Busy on lots of projects at the moment and trying to organise my ATHaven too.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Always good to see your treasures. A few of us have been out of touch lately, such great weather takes us different ways and consumes our time. LIFE who knows..Enjoy the weekend, it's almost here again.

WOW I love to find a good bargain! I found some in the dollar bins at Michaels last week. One dollar turned into $50 fairly quickly...:-) Have a great week! Vickie #76
