Good morning friends
I'm sitting here looking at blue skies and though I know it is not going to last I am enjoying the moment! I hope you have a bit too.
I've a couple of thins to share today, firstly, I will be at The Craft Barn on Friday 14 March for my tissue box class. All the details for booking are HERE.
This is what we will be spending the day doing.
I'd love to see you there.
Yesterday I spent the day crafting with Mark Gould. We started out doing Tim's February tag.... well, I will say that in the end I kind of gave up temporarily, things were just not quite coming together. I will share it when it's finished but to cheer myself up I had a bit of a play with one of the Tando Creative media boards. You can see the result just sitting on the journal page which I made the background from the left over paint as it was too nice to waste!
The background board was covered with white paint and then washes of paint were added along with some salt to add further interest as it dried. I stamped the sentiment directly to the board with black archival ink. The Lady was stamped onto acetate with black StazOn and the background was painted with some white paint which I tinted with Distress Stains (A bit of an experiment but it worked really well though the photo doesn't really show the subtle colours.) I attached the acetate to the board with small brads and some of Tim's foliage finished off the bottom nicely
I have fallen in love with this stamp set from Brett Weldele (The Presenters) so hopefully you won't get too tired of seeing it!
So, that's what I've been doing. Now I need to get my February tag finished and finish prepping for Sunday's back to basics class on Dylusions and Alcohol inks at The Craft Barn. If you fancy joining me for this techniques only class to really get to know what you do with these products, there are some places left and you can find the details HERE.
Hope you have a good and crafty afternoon.
