At the starting point.....

Hi there everyone
I don't usually do this but since I have not got anything finished yet (That I can share yet anyway!) I thought I'd tickle your tastebuds with the beginnings of a project.
A while ago now, I had a box of Turkish delight from Hotel Chocolat on my desk. It was lovely and proper stuff too so as you can imagine it did not last long. It came in a wooden box which was too good to throw away so it has been staring at me for a while now... until last night it caught my eye while I was waiting for something to dry and I started to play
So here is phase one of transformation
I've used a selection of die cut cogs and some chipboard alphabet circles and shapes to add the dimension and then everything has been covered in a layer of gesso. Then I added a few nuts and watch bits too.
Now I can start to add some colour and more bits to it so i'll keep you posted. Hope you all have a lovely and creative day and weekend.

What a great use of the box - it will be exciting to see it progress.

Just for a minute there, Neil, I thought you were showing something that was going to be pure white ... I should have known better :) Look forward to seeing the completed box. Elizabeth
