On Alyssa's 16th birthday I made her a Hello Kitty card- One big Accordian card with 16 Hello Kitty pockets, each with a gift of cash. I used a sizzix die to do the kitty but it still seemed to take forever as each one had to be cut out 3 times to do the different layers! I got some strange looks in car parks as I had to do it between appointments. Still, it was worth it. When I need to do Shenay's I think i'll begin earlier.

A card for the guys. I used distress inks to stamp the circle design then watered down and rubbed it it. I then added another but left it to dry, Stamped the little boy fishing on to a scap of inked card and mounted it on gold. Inspirational rub ons and a gem finished it off.

I picked up some old photo albums from a bootfair, it seemed such a pity to leave them there! Because there is no sentimental attachment to them I distressed this one and used it on this card, the background is made up of inking and stamping. I think it is a lovely way to make use of otherwise unwanted photos. They would otherwise end up in the bin so this way they will bring pleasure to people.

Crafty individuals butterfly stamps, embossed celtic book mark, ribbon and metal word

Background made using small stamps of leaves, all in pearlescent ink, then when dry the whole page coloured with distress ink. The pearl colours still shine through.

Tim Holtz mask, spinners and inks, background stamps used to create this card. The metal rings were from a bootfair necklace, I think they add a nice finish to the card

Crafty individuals stamp, tag distressed with crackle paint and ink, with inspirational rub on applied, background made using inks

Crafty individuals stamp, trusty cuttlebug, alcohol inks and Tim Holtz distress hammer.

Nice quick and simple card, I used a cuttlebug for the background and another Kandean image with a bit of glitter

Alcohol ink on acetate, black felt and charms to finish

I made this card using alcohol inks and stamps. The chain came from a necklace picked up at a boot fair for pennies.

This layout is based on one of my favourite poems: What is this life, if full of care, we take no time to stop and stare.....

While in Capetown I wrote my family's names in the sand at Bloubergstrand, Table mountain in the background and took these photos to show them that I was still thinking about them even though I was miles away. I was not looking at the sea and suddenly got caught by a "rogue" wave! Not pleasant, but it made for a good layout.

One of my favourite designs, this one cut by hand

More simple cards

My own design card topper embellished and mounted to create a simple thank you card

Again, my own design laser cuts.

This card was made using my own design seascape which was laser cut.

This card was done for a competition a few years ago, it took a long time to cut out (pre craft robo days!) but it won the catagory so it was worth it!

This is a card made using one of the Kandean image sheets which I really loved, I used a cuttlebug to emboss the background mount and did a bit of 3d on the card with glitter glue to add a bit of sparkle. A nice simple card which was fun to do.
