Simon Says Stamp and Show some metal and L3 CCC 35

Good morning everyone, first I would like to say hi and welcome to my new followers; thank you for choosing to follow my journey and I hope that you will be inspired... I appreciate each and eveyone of you from number 1 to number 129!

As I was doing my entry for this weeks challenges I have to confess to being a tiny bit emotional as I look out at my daffodils blooming in the garden I remember my father, who always encouraged my creativity (though I'm sure he did not always understand it!) and I have used paper in my book that he made for me many years ago.......
So as you can guess, this week's entry is a book!
Over at Simon Says this week the theme is metal, I guess that part is pretty obvious! The last Compendium of Curiosities challenge is Design details over at Studio L3 (on page 67 of the book)

I covered my chipboard cover with cork and inked with broken china and dusty concord DI. I ran the purple metal through Tim's folder. I removed some of the purple with blending solution and then used various alcohol inks to add different layers of colour. I cut it in two and re-assembled as you can see so I could use some design detail on it.
There is also a acetate and glittered butterfly to add interest; a row of bashed brads along the top and some chain and embellishments to finish (Though I am not convinced they work so may change them later but I am running out of time before work)

From the side you can see that the pages are all hand made papers

Close up of the design details.
Have a brilliant day everyone and be blessed in your art!
