Hi there folks.
I am busy trying to catch up with things today. As many of you may know, we are busy renovating our new forever home in the beautiful Eden Valley. Challenging but fun and exciting too.
I am also making a conscious effort to pick up my creativity. To do more of what I love and also to challenge myself as well.
So, stay tuned for some exciting and nerve-wracking (to me anyway) changes pushing me out of my "safe" zone.
For this evening though, firmly in my comfort zone, I have had some fun making some key rings.
Stamping my bird stamps from The Artistic Stamper onto card, then colouring with Distress Markers and water before gluing to wooden discs and sanding the edges when dry, was a thoroughly pleasant way to while away a few hours/
Then I decided to take them one step further. I covered them with a thin layer of DecoArt Matte Medium to seal the colour of the markers and when it was dry I added a layer of DecoArt Crackle Glaze and left to dry overnight.
I used some DecoArt Raw Umber acrylic paint to highlight the crackle before adding the rings.
As I said, a lovely way to while a bit of creative time, what do you think?
Enjoy your evening friends and I'll be back soon.
