Alcohol inks.....

Good morning everyone.
Hope you all had a great weekend; today I thought I'd share some of what we did at my Alcohol ink class at The Craft Barn yesterday. It was great fun so thank you to the ladies who attended, I enjoyed it very much and hope you lot did too!
We explored some of the different techniques over the course of the day; seeing how the inks reacted with various surfaces and then inking a tin and stamping, heat embossing and then removing some ink.

We looked at inking fragments and stamping with archival ink and removing it to create decorated fragments


We were then using the inks to decorate an acetate and chipboard album using Katzelkraft Vinci Vitruve and Vinci Joconde A5 plates. These amazing stamps are available direct from Katzelkraft in France or exclusively in the UK at The Craft Barn

For the album cover we used glossy accents and white tissue to "capture" a feather and glitters and micro beads behind the inked and stamped acetate.

    OOOOH, Alcohol inks are my new friends, I have been using them on everything at the moment and the Mixatives are FANTASTIC. I love what you did here and will investigate doing something similar, just have to hunt down an acrylic album!

    Alcohol inks are one of my fave mediums to work with and like you, i love experimenting with them. Your projects here are beautiful i especially love the horse piece and your santa piece. great work.

    Fantastic projects Neil. My favourite is the tin - love the horse stamp and what you have done with it, just wished I lived nearer to the Craft barn.
