Well; here we have it the Compendium of Curiosities challenge number 21 over at L3 (link in my blog list)
Not the easiest of techniques to master; there are quite a few that landed in the bin before I managed to get these tags done!
Once I had the tags done I was wondering what to do with them. In the end I decided to make myself a little watercolour sketch book with them. Yes, I am going to keep this all for ME!!!!!
Hope you like it.
Such a fabulous sketch book! Love your challege piece!
ReplyDeleteThis is just amazing! I wish you could publish the instructions but I think I can re-create the booklet from this view and add my own touches to decorate. The shinny gold on the distressed background creates a lovely effect.
ReplyDeleteThe tags are fabulous! love your idea to make them into a sketch book too!
ReplyDeleteThis is just so great. The tags make a truly fabulous cover for the sketch book.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear I'm not the only one to have a bin of rejects......But these are fabulous and such a great idea to turn them into a watercolour book. Happy painting. Annette x
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS book, Neil! I love the double binding and the beautiful colors, and you absolutely conquered the Perfect Distress challenge! The gold looks spectacular! I don't blame you for holding on to it-- I'd keep this for myself, too. It's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI always have a recycling bin full of castoffs when I do a challenge-- it's just part of my process. ;-)
