WOYWW #156

Hi there everyone
Yes, it's already Wednesday again! Time to join the massive blog hop of desks courtesy of Julia at Stamping Ground.
Today being the 3rd anniversary, there is the ATC swap, mine's safely packed away so as not to spoil a surprise (or disappoint!)
Here's my desk this week though before you go in I thought you may like to see the outside! Welcome to my world....
And perhaps the flowers too......
They are doing well this year.
So, onto the inside and as a special treat I've taken a longer view this week; I've also moved the shelf away from in front of me to allow me to get all this lovely natural light so at last I think I've got my space right at last!

So, some new old stuff from bootfairs - I picked up the hand a while ago and the book has an amazing hinge that will look really great I think when I've changed it! The covers are lovely chunky wood. Then there's this awesome brass clock, I was thrilled to discover that it actually still works (If I remember to wind it up, that is) so I think I'll have to re think my original thought of taking it apart!
Then there is this little book that I started to play with, so far I've just been playing with glassine to get this lovely textured paper to go on the cover. so far it's been embossed a few times, had some ink and UTEE and I really like how it's come out.
So there you have my place this week. Happy anniversary all you WOYWWers; a toast to the next year!
Hope you all have a blessed and creative week ahead.

  3. I am SO envious of your gorgeous little Art House! And I wouldn't be able to pull that clock apart either. Maybe you could just "alter" the bits around it or make a nice plaque to attach it to your wall. Just my two bob's worth, hehe!

  4. Hi Neil from Queensland Australia.
I absolutely love your garden craft cottage packed with so many crafty goodies. It's the sort of place I would have loved to have at our last place, (we had 5 acres of bushland around our house) but then there probably would have been huge spiders in there too as well as snakes! Not such a great idea.
    Cheers,
    Elaine

  17. Hi there Neil, Knew it was a shed but you know I did not realise your craft place was as detached as it is - a real little den, mm wonder if it gets cold in your wee shed?
I know how cold it can be over there now - was 2 to 8C the first week I arrived bit of a shock after 15 to 25C here... and warmed up once I left again! lve the flowers and all that crafty organisation - one day might get there with mine but not holding my breath... yet! happy WOYWW - what fun we have, good to be back! 32. Oh! Thanks for sharing the outside of your world, what a cute little cottage. Somehow I always thought you were in a basement workshop. You have some seriously fertile soil to come up with those beautiful flowers (says the desert dweller whose dirt can be mistaken for cement). How wonderful to have made room for the natural light to come in. I noticed the disembodied hand right away-a fun find. Happy WOYWW to you and a toast right back atcha!

  36. Great shed - love that you have a lot of windows to let the light in, our shed has only one the size of a postage stamp so I won't be joining the spiders in there any day soon :) Spotted the hand straight away and all your other finds have a lot of potential in your hands, I'm sure. Hope you have had a good WOYWW and have a lovely week. Elizabeth #96

  38. Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog, Neil, and for your birthday wishes - I've had a lovely day out with my hubby today. Also, thank you for your very kind words about my art work - coming from you that's praise indeed!!!

I had no idea your wonderful creative space was in that adorable little hut with the lace curtains! It's so cute. Hope you manage to keep warm in the winter, though. Loving what you are doing - I've got some Glassine but haven't tried it yet, and the effect you are getting is amazing - really organic looking.

I've been so behind with everything lately that I've had to cry off being involved in the ATC swap unfortunately. I envy whoever gets yours!! looking forward to seeing everyone's efforts, anyway. I'm all behind with following blogs too so I'm fairly out of date with what everyone's doing.

Happy WOYWW and have a great week with lots of creative productivity!

  49. I used to craft in the shed too! I painted it blue. It got a bit damp in the winter even with heating, and the 'noise' of little 'friends' playing under it wasn't nce..worse was the walk back in the dark to the house...crunch crunch on snails! Very very late for the ANNIversary, nearly didn't join in, hope you've had a fabulous week crafting, happy VERY late woyww
