WOYWW#138

Good morning peeps
Dull drizzly and damp around here so I hope you are faring better in your neck of the woods. Time for us to stand up tall and share our desks with the world; no matter what state they are in! If you've just landed from another planet and don't know what I'm talking about then just follow me through this door HERE to Julia's place where all is explained....

My desk is once again; a bit of a mess
Everything just pushed and pulled and dropped on top of..... just your average creative's desk after working on something but before the decontamination team has been in.
But on the left you can see my steampunk style box is taking shape nicely now

I'll be starting on the inside soon but as ever, I'll keep you posted.
On the right is a small jewellery box I did for the guest room using some fabulous Katzelkraft stamps - hard to believe this lady in the gondola is a stamp......
I just need to finish the bottom neatly before it goes into the room.
So that's my lot today. Now I need to tidy it up a bit before starting the next project........... though perhaps I'll pop into chat for a bit.
Whatever I do I hope you all have a great day.

  14. Ok so just to be clear...i'm not responsible for those dippy dipped things on my desk this week that 'defy description'.....just needed to get that out there...LOL....but if you come by one day, I'd be happy to help you develop your own dipping skills.

Meanwhile, love, love, loving the steampunk box, AND did you see Kim's rusty bits...you and she should swap bits, one of her keys MUST unlock that box of yours.

  21. You can't hide that in your guest room it needs to have a 'pride of place position' on display it is wonderful, and although steampunk is not really my thing i think your box is brilliant. Hope you have a really good week, Lou #84 p.s I don't see mess i see a peek inside the mind of someone extremely creative and talented.

  22. Love the boxes... can't decide between them. Great visual impact from both.
Love your big mess and almost envy it as much as you are envying my tidied space but I'm determined to get straight and keep straight so I can get back to my silversmithing. Can't be let loos with a butane torch until it's all tidy and no fire hazard!

Like JoZart, I can't decide which box I like best, so different and both gorgeous I would give either pride of place in my house.

  33. Perfect Neil, a good for the eye view of a creative's desk! Like the different angles of surfaces you've got going there - the non stick mat at a jaunty angle on the cutting mat...a sure sign of whack it down and get on with it!! The jewellery box is so pretty, and like you, deeply impressed by the quality of that stamped image.
