Phew, that's a mouthful; This week at the CAFE the colours are black red and green with a linked challenge to CASE STUDY which was a twist on the normal cafe challenge (Which ,obviously, was the plan!) And over at Linda's blog Studio L3 the compendium challenge this week can be found on page 56 of the Compendium and I used the technique on the leaves and the centre of the flower.
I kept everything simple. I turned the inspiration image on it's side and created an easel card. (I've tried to steer away from a christmas feel but the colours have their own association!) I used Martha Stewart Punch for the border. I made the flower in green and red, stamped a texture onto it in black and embossed with circles folder.
The centre of the flower is a metal flower coloured with ink and the metal leaves too.
When open you have the Tim Holtz sentiment inside
Have a blessed day!

Gorgeous! I love the flower. The combination of metal and paper, embossing and AI's are amazing. I have to keep remembering to use all those things in my 'collection'.
Neil, this is simply stunning, I love what you've done with all that texture on the flower petals. Beautiful card. Cheers, Kasey
Beautifully done, Neil. Love the flower and the colors you chose for this card. The metal leaves are perfect against the petina looking flower. The layering, the texture, the lacey die cut running behind the bold red stripe! Just beautiful!
Amazing flower! Beautiful card! xxD
